ST. LOUIS, MO (April 6, 2018) — Bill Nye joins a distinguished group of speakers including Carl Pope at the keynote session of the Saint Louis Climate Summit. Other conference speakers include Cardinal Peter Turkson, Nobel Laureate Mario Molina, Jeffrey Sachs, Ph.D., and Peter Raven Ph.D., among many others.
Hosted by Saint Louis University as a part of its yearlong Bicentennial Celebration, the summit brings some of the most authoritative minds in climate science and related disciplines to the Midwest for three days of discussion on climate change April 22-24, 2018.
Nye will bring his infectious blend of humor and intellectual curiosity to the issue of climate change. Best known for his Emmy-winning run as “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” he will inspire the audience to engage with and improve our world. Nye will speak Monday, April 23, at 7:00 p.m., in Chaifetz Arena.
Bill Nye, science educator, mechanical engineer, bestselling author, and host of the Emmy-nominated Bill Nye Saves the World on Netflix, is a man with a mission: to help foster a scientifically literate society and to help people everywhere understand and appreciate the science that makes our world work. Making science entertaining and accessible is something Bill has been doing most of his life.
He fights to raise awareness of climate change and the value of critical thinking, science, and reason. Through all his work, Nye hopes to inspire people everywhere to change the world.
